#8  Audit of New Virginia USPS Processing Facility Finds Big Problems, Including Water-Damaged Mail - AP for Fox News

An audit conducted by the Postal Service's inspector general found significant problems at a new regional processing facility in Virginia, including water-damaged mail left unprocessed for months and a worker asleep at a forklift. The audit, dated March 28, raises questions about the Postal Service's plans to modernize its processing network — the Richmond facility that was the focus of the audit is the first of a planned 60 regional processing centers that USPS is launching nationwide that are supposed to streamline operations and improve efficiency. But the audit found that problems at the Richmond center, which opened in July, have contributed to a drop in on-time service that now finds Virginia ranked worst in the nation. The inspector general said only 66% of first-class mail has been delivered within two days in the current fiscal year, compared to a national average of 87%. No other region in the U.S. fell below 80%, according to the inspector general's office...

U.S. Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.) himself sounded off with an op-ed last month asking, "Where is the outrage over Steve Baker’s prosecution?" What's more, shortly after Baker's arrest, Blaze Media released a never-before-seen video showing Baker's movements in and around the U.S. Capitol on January 6, which appears to stand in stark contrast to the narrative the federal government has been floating about him.

On an island off the coast of an island, a local grocer’s big error turned into a successful national charity event. Dan Dafydd wanted 80 chocolate Easter eggs for the shelves at Sinclair General Stores on Sanday, one of the Orkney Islands, but accidentally ordered 80 cases of Easter eggs, totaling 720 confectionaries for a total island population of 500. Wondering what he was going to do with the excess, his heart overtook his mind and decided to raffle off groups of 100, with proceeds going to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), the largest of the lifeboat services operating around the coasts of the British Isles which rescue dozens of people and vessels every year.
