Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced today the state will conduct a full, audit, hand recount, and canvass of the Presidential race in each county. This comes after Raffensperger had announced last week they would be doing a recount after ballots turned up in the dead of night and pushed the state for Joe Biden.

The race in Georgia hasn’t been called for either candidate but President-elect Joe Biden has a 14,111 vote lead in the state according to Decision Desk Headquarters.

Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger told reporters. “This will help build confidence. It will be an audit, a recount and a re-canvas all at once. It will be a heavy lift.

Raffensperger continued, “My office will continue to investigate each and every incidence of illegal voting. Double voting, felon voting, people voting out of state — if you report it we will investigate it. Every legal vote will count,” Raffensperger said.

Raffensperger has become a divisive figure within the Republican Party in Georgia, with Republican Senate candidates Senator Kelly Loeffler and Senator David Purdue calling for his resignation over his handling of their races. They said in a joint statement on Monday, “There have been too many failures in Georgia elections this year and the most recent election has shined a national light on the problems. The Secretary of State has failed to deliver honest and transparent elections. He has failed the people of Georgia, and he should step down immediately.

In a letter on Tuesday to Secretary of State Raffensperger, the Georgia GOP and the Trump campaign made several allegations of voting irregularities that may have prompted the hand recount. “The Georgia Republican Party and The Donald J. Trump for President Campaign daily continue to receive hundreds of reports of voting discrepancies and errors statewide,” according to the letter. “Millions of Georgians doubt the process for counting ballots in this state.

Raffensperger, said the recount in each of Georgia’s 159 counties, will be conducted by hand instead of using high-speed scanners, which was a request of the Trump campaign and which election officials agreed to, and it must be completed by a Nov. 20 deadline to finalize election results. He also moved the December 1st runoff to January 5th to give adequate attention to the recount effort.

Cobb County election officials discovered 400 outstanding ballots this week that were not included in their original tally from last week’s election results. They attributed the error to a skipped memory card containing results. This brings into question the reliability of the Dominion software that was used in Georgia and throughout the country on voting machines for the Election.

County Elections & Registration Director Janine Eveler Cobb said in response to the discovery, “We found it by checking the number of votes uploaded against what was documented on the forms by the poll workers. Again, that’s why we audit everything.

The President tweeted out a response to a statement Lou Dobbs made regarding the irregularities that are being discovered with the voting machines, "I don't care what state you're in, this computer voting system is wide open to fraud and intervention."

The President responded in the same tweet, "True, and wait until you see what's coming!"
