According to a press release by the Trump Campaign, "Donald J. Trump for President, Inc., the Republican National Committee (RNC), and their authorized joint fundraising committees today announced that combined they raised over $266 million in the record-setting second quarter of 2020. In June alone, the Trump and RNC committees raised a record $131 million. The massive amount raised in June eclipses the total raised in any single month of 2016".

"The staggering second-quarter haul is over $111 million more than the first quarter of 2020, a 71 percent increase, highlighting the incredible enthusiasm Americans have for President Trump and Republicans across the country. In June, the Trump campaign, RNC, and joint committees took in an average of $4.3 million per day, driven by a record setting single day online figure of $14 million on the President’s birthday".

Trump 2020 Campaign Manager Brad Parscale said, “The Trump campaign’s monumental June fundraising haul proves that people are voting with their wallets and that enthusiasm behind President Trump’s re-election is only growing,” he added, “No one is excited about Joe Biden, which is why he has to rely so heavily on surrogates like Barack Obama and radical Hollywood elites. In stark contrast, President Trump is tapping into support from real Americans all across the country who have reaped the benefits of his America First agenda”.

RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said, “After yet another haul of record-breaking support, the voters are speaking loud and clear – they support President Trump,” She continued,  “As Joe Biden remains hidden in his basement, President Trump is leading this country to a Great American Comeback that will reignite our economy, restore law and order, and usher in a new era of strength.”

In contrast, the former vice president’s campaign announced on Wednesday night that they, the Democratic National Committee and their joint fundraising committees raised a combined $141 million in June, which was by far the campaign’s best monthly figure to date. Opensecrets.org has a list of ActBlue donors for the 2020 election cycle based on Federal Election Commission data released electronically on June 21, 2020.

There is speculation that some of the contributions to Joe Biden's campaign have been from donations to BLM through ActBlue. Browsing through the receipts on the FEC website you can see that the majority of donations are from ActBlue. ActBlue is a donation platform for left-leaning charities and organizations.

Candace Owens proclaimed on Twitter BLM is not a charity but an organization.

"Technically, the network also has structured a foundation — the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation — which is “fiscally sponsored” by a global nonprofit called Thousand Currents", according to Jenesha de Rivera, director of finance and administration at Thousand Currents. It is uncertain where the $40 million dollars went or how it's being spent until the Financial Spending report from Thousand Currents is released. Last year's report was released on June 30, 2019.

According to the IRS, “all section 501(c)(3) organizations are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office. Contributions to political campaign funds or public statements of position (verbal or written) made on behalf of the organization in favor of or in opposition to any candidate for public office clearly violate the prohibition against political campaign activity.”

In a statement to FactCheck.org, the Black Lives Matter Global Network’s managing director, Kailee Scales said, “All contributions to the DNC are publicly reported to the FEC and review of FEC reports will confirm there has never been any donation from this organization”.

Based on the amount of money raised for both campaigns, one thing is certain, people are more motivated to donate and support their candidates, which will likely lead to huge voter turnout in November.
